Food processing brings a cold chain with it, and cold storage changes what rack you buy. LaFayette also has bulk and rail-served buildings that need straightforward selective pallet rack (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/products/pallet-rack). Drive-in rack (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/products/drive-in-rack) packs pallets of one SKU deep with very few aisles. Where each lane needs date rotation, pallet flow rack (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/products/pallet-flow-rack) delivers first in, first out. Rollers and brakes rated for cold service are part of that spec. We also plan around the room itself: door locations, evaporator units overhead and the clearances around them. Door locations, evaporator heights and lane depths should all be on the same drawing. Lane depth sets how many pallets each SKU can hold. Door width sets how trucks enter. Evaporators set how high the rack can go. We work from your architect's plans so the rack and the room fit each other from the start. ## Walker County Business Park North Walker County Business Park North sits on four-lane US-27. It is a nearly 500-acre, rail-served industrial tract. New food and manufacturing buildings there can be designed with rack in the first set of drawings, which saves rework later. ## Existing Bulk and Rail-Served Buildings Current stock includes a 260,000 sq ft warehouse and manufacturing building on W Cherokee St, plus a rail-served high-bay warehouse on McCarter Rd about 16 miles from I-75. High-bay space suits tall selective rows. Rail doors need open staging so carloads can be broken down before going into rack. - Tall selective rows in high-bay space - Clear staging at rail doors - Pushback rack (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/products/pushback-rack) for several pallets per SKU ## Textiles and Plastics Local manufacturing also includes synthetic textiles and plastics. Rolls of fabric and resin bags on pallets each have their own storage needs; rolls often fit cantilever rack (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/products/cantilever-rack). Tell us the product, and we will match the rack to how it is handled. ## Starting a LaFayette Cold Storage Plan Send room dimensions, door locations, evaporator heights and your SKU list with pallets per SKU. For existing buildings, add clear height and column spacing. We draw freezer, cooler and dry zones together, each with its own rack type and position count, and quote every line. Rail-served buildings get staging planned at the rail door before rows are drawn. Phased installs let early rooms open while later ones are still going in. ## Plan LaFayette Cold Storage Call (423) 810-5886 (4238105886) or send the form. ## LaFayette Cold Storage FAQs ### Drive-in or pallet flow in a freezer? ### Can you design rack before the building is finished? ### What fits the high-bay McCarter Rd building? ### When should rack be planned for a new cold room? ### Do evaporators limit rack height? ## Nearby Towns Rossville, GA: https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/rossville Fort Oglethorpe, GA: https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/fort-oglethorpe Trenton, GA: https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/trenton Ringgold, GA: https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/ringgold All Service Areas: https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area ## Cold Storage Planned in LaFayette?
